Forged Tubes

Forged pipes with a controlled ID according to ASME specs in carbon, alloy, stainless, duplex, super duplex, nickel-alloys (Inconel, Incoloy, Hastelloy), titanium for special applications.

We supply forged tubes in outside diameters up to 90″ with a 2″ minimum wall thickness (and controlled ID) in any material grade (carbon, alloy, stainless, duplex steels, and nickel-alloys) and according to any dimensional specification (API, ASME, EN, GOST, and others). Forged hollow sections are frequently used in the power generation industry, in grades A335 P9 and P91.

The process to forge a hollow tube starts by making an upset preform, then punching a hole through the center, and finally by drawing the semi-finished product out over a mandrel to the specified length and O.D./I.D. requirements.

Given the flexibility of the forging process, hollow tubes can have a straight cylindric shape, or uneven outside diameters and wall thicknesses throughout the section, depending on the project specifications. Further, we can produce forged tubes of any transportable length, and especially short ones (example 1 meter) reducing cuts or wasted material at the site.

We also provide closed-end cylinders, both with and without flanges, in various wall thicknesses and cylinder end configurations.

We can also provide other forged parts, such as discs, bushings, shafts, special fittings, and made-to-order parts.
